Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 4:37PM | 1 Comment On our last day in Tokyo, we didn’t have to catch the metro for the airport until after lunch, so we decided to metro-hop over to Asakusa for the morning. We’ve been here before on other trips, but they have the best red bean filled cookies, so it’s a must-stop whenever we’re in Tokyo.

When we saw that everyone was out and about, not to mention, the roads were blocked off to traffic and pedestrians were walking in the streets, we knew our chances were about nil.

Tokyo is our serious action figure hunting grounds (for second-hand action figures at potentially great prices!) and we literally metro-hop to all corners of the city. During our stop in Akihabara, we decided to try out the Gundam Café. Although neither of us are avid Gundam aficionados, as huge sci-fi geeks, we felt it important to patronize the local sci-fi-related café.

We got there a bit early, so we walked around the area to see what we could find. Brandon was happy to find an Okinawa restaurant during our meandering – I think he was going through shisa-withdrawal.
