Earthquake...or zombie apocalypse?

"I feel the earth shake, under my feet!"  errr....sorry, this isn't karaoke night, is it?  As most of you have heard by now, our part of Okinawa experienced a 7.0 earthquake our Saturday morning about 5:30am.  It was exciting!  Brandon likened it to not being sure if we were going to lift off (the up and down shaking) or if the island was going to pull up anchor and float off to sea (the length-wise swaying of our bed.)  It only lasted about 15 seconds, but it was exciting while it was happening.  (I know, I know, we're crazy kids!  But to be fair, it wasn't THAT big and didn't cause damage.)

My wonderful husband made us fruit smoothies for dessert tonight!  Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, banana, blueberry yogurt, orange juice, and a bit of honey, topped with Redi-Whip.  Delicious!

Last Friday Megumi and I drove down to Naha to meet up with two of her girlfriends.  We were on a mission - locate Piednue bakery, purchase delectable sweets for our sweethearts, and have a fun girls' day out.

World Fest Okinawa 2010!

For Valentine's Day, we decided to check out World Fest.  They had everything from an ice sculpture, to dancers doing a variety of ethic dances representing a number of different countries, to all kinds of different foods.  Festivals are definitely a great place to try all kinds of different foods!
