My New Ride!

Me standing in front of the 160 million plane. Now if they would just let me past that cone!

Friday afternoon, the Air Force provided the opportunity to "come see a Raptor, F-22, and meet the pilots."  This was my second time to be able to walk up to the approximately 160 million dollar Fighter and Arielle's first time to see one up close and personal.  Of course, that is not counting the number of times they fly past the apartment.  I will have to admit just like when I saw one for the first time with Dick at an air show I was speechless.

Under the Sea...

Brandon stopped to pose with a Shisa at the Ocean Expo Park.

After our trip to the Ocean Expo Park and Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, I think I agree with Sebastian - "everything's better, down where it's wetter!"  At least when it comes to viewing the extremely impressive Kuroshio Tank!

Blizzards, Hail, and Tornados OH MY!

Sounds like we missed quite the day in NE. I bet it is not often in the same state on the same day you have tornadoes and blizzards....except Nebraska! Now that is something I definitely don't miss right now is tornadoes. However, a co-work of mine said they did have a tornado in Okinawa a few years ago, but all it did was turn over a couple cars and disappear. So I don't know if that really counts. Oh... that same co-worker told me I should go to the beach at lunch and take a picture and send it to those in NE today to show what the weather was like here today. As for the weather here today it was cloudy and it did mist a little. I think it is suppose to rain again tonight and tomorrow. Well I'm off to work on the apartment some more. I'll attach a link to the news story about the weather in NE today. Link to news story: http://omaha.com/index.php?u_page=2798&u_sid=10593263

Instant coral reef, just add water...

When we walked down for our daily sunset at the Sea Wall, we were surprised to find exposed coral reef instead of water directly beyond the Sea Wall barrier.  Naturally, we decided to climb the barrier and explore!

Out for a stroll...

4-child strollers! Who woulda thunk?! (They kids face each other.)

4-child strollers! Who woulda thunk?! (They kids face each other.)

I saw this group of daycare kids and their caretakers out for a stroll the other day and had to get a photo.  Have you ever seen a four-child stroller?!  It looks like it hinges in the middle to allow the kids in/out.  The kids in front face towards the back, and the kids in back face front (so the kids are facing each other).  So you can push four children without the stroller being too unweildy.  An ingenious design, if you ask me!  I was thoroughly impressed!
